Who we are + How we operate

Mass Party is a mass political organization organizing toward a general strike and occupation in 2027.

We are leading with struggle, because we believe the U.S. left has led with ideology for far too long. History shows that people are won over not through moral appeals or abstract arguments, but through practical fights and mass collective resistance. Struggle is how political consciousness is formed, clarified, and deepened.

In 2027, U.S. workers, poor people, and people of all ages and races, will collectively stage a general strike and coordinated occupations until local demands are met. These actions will be rooted locally and synchronized nationally. Workers and communities will occupy hubs of capital and centers of power, develop demands based on their own material conditions, and act together by striking to demand an end to U.S. resources being funneled into imperialism while our communities are left to struggle.

This approach is inspired in part by the original vision of the Poor People’s Campaign, which called on people to mobilize nationally or “stand up and be counted in their own communities" while directing pressure at "government centers of power". That campaign was cut short by the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., but its strategic clarity remains instructive.

BEYOND 2027: BUILDING COLLECTIVE CAPACITY

Mobilizations without infrastructure cannot sustain momentum.

We have seen this repeatedly on the U.S. left. Even powerful moments like Occupy Wall Street generated massive energy and resources, but without long-term collective infrastructure, that energy dissipated. In New York City alone, Occupy ended with almost a million dollars raised, but no durable system to convert that moment into sustained collective power.

Mass Party is organizing beyond the 2027 strike and occupation.

We are developing plans for Resistance Lands. Collectively controlled spaces that allow us to:

Model alternative ways of living and organizing

Sustain long-term collective resistance on our own terms

Increase organizer capacity materially, not just rhetorically

Turn everyday people into organizers by giving them the real capacity to act

Many efforts on the left attempt to “build capacity” individually or professionally. We are focused on building collective capacity, because only collective capacity increases our ability to wage mass resistance.

A MASS ORGANIZATION OF EVERYDAY PEOPLE

Mass Party is a mass organization rooted among everyday people, across different political ideologies.

To be revolutionary, we must be present everywhere the masses are—in neighborhoods, schools, culture, and daily life.

Our structure begins at the ground level.

OUR BASE: GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS

Good Neighborhoods are the foundation of Mass Party.

This is where:

Mutual aid work happens

Councils and democratic assemblies are formed

Local conditions are assessed

Collective decision-making is practiced

Mass party helps neighborhoods set up Good Neighborhood Councils that can organize local assemblies. These assemblies are spaces where we:

Share the vision for the 2027 strike and occupation

Gather input and shape demands from the ground up

Identify immediate material conditions that can be addressed based on current capacity

MASS ENGAGEMENT PROJECTS

Mass Party builds presence and trust through practical, collective engagement:

Good Sports

Youth-centered sports programs that embed organizers within communities in a grounded, non-performative way. Inspired in part by the mass engagement practices of the Black Panther Party, we begin with youth programs and will expand further over time.

Good Art

Art, music, and culture are central to revolutionary life. Good Art creates space for collective creativity. We have rappers writing bars in meetings, musicians, visual artists, and cultural workers shaping Mass Party's voice from within.

Good Books

A political publishing project focused on working class people, not academics. We elevate organic intellectuals, people writing from lived experience and struggle, rather than credentialed scholars disconnected from mass life.

Good Politics

The media and communications wing of Mass Party. Good Politics documents our work, develops political clarity, and builds a culture of serious, practical political discussion rooted in organizing rather than spectacle.

NATIONAL COORDINATION COUNCILS

Mass Party Councils are composed of rotating teams of eight, volunteer positions filled by members with the capacity and time to contribute at the national level.

Council terms last 12 months

In the final month, outgoing members are responsible for training their replacements

This ensures continuity, skill transfer, and prevents consolidation of power

The Councils include:

Communications

Strategy

Coalitions

Logistics

The Councils exist to support, not dominate, the work happening on the ground. Power flows upward from mass participation, not downward from permanent leadership.
