Good Books

Good Books is an independent publishing project of Mass Party. It exists to collect, develop, and circulate reflections from everyday people and organic intellectuals engaged with the conditions of their lives and the struggles shaping them.

Mass Party does not treat political education as something delivered from above. Our political education is struggle itself. Good Books exists to make space for people to document, sharpen, and share what they are learning through lived experience, organizing, and collective confrontation with power.

What Good Books Publishes

Good Books publishes short books, essays, pamphlets, and collective texts rooted in real conditions—not academic abstraction or professional commentary.

These writings emerge from workplaces, neighborhoods, organizing efforts, and moments of crisis. They reflect how people are thinking through power, survival, solidarity, and transformation in real time.

Who Writes for Good Books

Good Books centers everyday people and organic intellectuals—those who develop analysis through experience, not credentials. Writers may be organizers, workers, neighbors, or participants in Mass Party projects, but authorship is not limited to formal roles.

What matters is clarity, honesty, and connection to lived struggle.

Collective Development, Independent Voices

While Good Books is connected to Mass Party, it operates as an independent publisher. Writers retain their voice and perspective, even when in disagreement. Texts are strengthened through collective feedback, discussion, and revision—not ideological policing.

This process allows ideas to circulate, collide, and develop publicly.

Why Good Books Exists

Good Books exists because movements cannot rely on media institutions, academia, or professional pundits to tell our stories or clarify our experiences for us.

By publishing our own reflections, we build a record of struggle as it unfolds—and contribute to a living archive of working people thinking for themselves.
